Civil Rights Compliance

  • Summary: The USC Office of Civil Rights centralizes resources for civil rights education, reporting, and resolution procedures. As part of USC’s efforts to ensure timely and appropriate responses to all reports of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, OCRC addresses reports relating to protected characteristics involving community members at all of USC’s locations, departments, and institutes. OCRC oversees the Policy on Prohibited Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation and its two accompanying resolution processes (Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation (DHR) and Sexual Misconduct), which apply to the university community, including students, student organizations, faculty and staff (including healthcare and student staff who supervise others), and third parties.
