Senators play an important role in the Graduate Student Government— Senate approval is required to effect change. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Carrying out committee goals
- Electing GSG President and Senior Vice President (SVP)
- Confirming Vice President and Director positions
- Approving the GSG Budget
Senators are elected to represent the RSO of an academic unit and are expected to dedicate 10 hours per semester for senator responsibilities.
The contact list is below. We highly recommend that all graduate students reach out to their senator for any questions or concerns about GSG. Though Senate meetings are open to all (please see Engage for registration information. Your senator is a direct bridge between the student body and GSG.
